Primac® General Enhancement Release 12a
October 10, 2004 - Dallas, TX - Primac® Systems announces
Primac® Release 12a, which adds significant enhancements to
modules in the Primac® Business and Production Management System.
All of these enhancements are the direct result of committees
and roundtables conducted by the Primac® User Group, an independent
organization managed by the Primac® user group community.
Some of significant new features include:
- A number of Job Scheduling enhancements to improve the
range of views availability, user specific defaults, and
allowance of more colors to denote different types of jobs
and projects; enhanced ability to schedule vacations and
maintenance projects.
- Shop Floor Information System - added validation of stock
being used on a job against the stock ID planned for the
job and validation of job status when employees try to enter
transactions against a closed job.
- Estimating - allow different quantities for different
components; allow quantity in billions, several new reports.
- Inventory - Allow auto-posting of inventory transactions
by transaction type, making barcode tracked inventory transactions
real-time; simplified and easier inventory adjustment transaction
entry.
- Inventory - expand the functionality for bar-coding and
subsequent scanned barcode tracking of paper stock items
to any raw material item.
- General Ledger - Expanded drill down views into GL accounts,
starting at company level and drilling down to division,
department and cost center.
- JDF interfaces to printing plant equipment, based on
the NGP implementation of CIP4 standards. The JDF Messaging
Center is complete, as is testing of the interface to pre-press
systems.
- The final project is a completely new JDF/XML compliant
job ticket. This is being developed in our off-shore development
center.
