PRIMAC® SYSTEMS, INC. Introduces PRIMAC POCKET PC®
with real time inventory transactions for Pocket PC Devices.
September 19,
2007 – Dallas, TX – Primac Systems, Inc.,
producers of the graphic arts industry's most extensive business management system
introduces P³® (PRIMAC Pocket PC) Inventory, which is designed to run on hand held
PC hardware. "P³ brings the power of PRIMAC to a hand-held PC, which allows real-time
inventory transactions." said Faisal Bhombal, Director of Technology, PRIMAC Systems.
"It will eliminate the risk of losing batch transactions when a device is damaged, or
when batteries are drained." said Mr. Bhombal.
P³ runs on the
Microsoft CE operating system, allowing customers to select from a plethora of
pocket PC devices to fit their own hardware requirements. It communicates over
a secure WiFi network, reducing the investment required for radio frequency
hardware. "Customers will no longer have to worry about how to replace or repair
obsolete hand held scanning devices, and will not need to rely on batch processing
and the delay which was inherent to those processes" said Faisal.
As part of PRIMAC Systems' continuing efforts to enhance its product offering, it
has developed P³ which will allow users to configure inventory to eliminate batch
posting. Transactions that are available now include inventory receipts, inventory
adjustments, location transfers, transfers in and out between divisions, bay
locator inquiry, and physical inventory functions. A new transaction, location
transfer, is designed to transfer all products from one location in one step,
allowing quick and efficient cycle counting. PRIMAC plans to add other functions
in the future.
