Primac® 's MITS Business Intelligence module and its associated Job Cost and Sales Analysis OLAP (On-line Analytical Processing) Hypercubes provide a powerful Business Intelligence and interactive Analytical Analysis tool for managers and executives. Primac® has partnered with Management Information Tools, Inc. to adapt their MITS technology to Primac® and the printing industry's special requirements. Data is extracted from Primac® files nightly (or more frequently as needed) and placed into the OLAP hypercubes, where it can be accessed, viewed, and mined by end users. This data is stored using an OLAP file structure. The hypercubes include numerous views of data that our users have told us they need.

MITS is easy to use, very intuitive, and interactive. The end user, from executives, production managers, sales managers, to cost analysts, or other users, can focus on analyzing the data, viewing it from different perspectives, and drawing conclusions about patterns, trends, cause and effect and other business intelligence. MITS is not a report generator and does not require an IT professional to use; rather data is presented in seconds and the user has the ability to quickly drill down and alter the data presentation interactively. The user is free to follow his/her business knowledge and intuition while analyzing the data presented.

The MITS Business Intelligence module is priced and designed to offer an economical, powerful and efficient solution to Primac® users. Rather than extracting data and maintaining it in separate Excel or Access files, MITS Business Intelligence tool allows Primac® customers to keep the data they need for this type of analysis in one place. MITS Business Intelligence typically resides on the main Primac® server.

MITS technical specialists directly support the customer and work with them to add additional data elements and drill-down views into the OLAP hypercubes.
