Barcode Inventory System

The Barcode Inventory System (BIS) accelerates data entries and virtually eliminates incorrect keystroke entries. Barcode entries are used to record stock receipts, adjustments, transfers, and returns to the warehouse. Raw materials can be moved from warehouse to warehouse with ease. Simply scan the material label, move the item to its new location, scan the label again at the new location, and enter the new location number. Any raw material, including paper, ink, plates and other consumables may be bar coded and tracked throughout the system from receipt through consumption. Primac users who instill tight inventory control discipline with BIS find they need to take physical inventory much less frequently, and that any write-off adjustments are minor.

Another value of the Barcode Inventory System is in the tracking skids of folded signatures or job components. The Barcode Inventory System is used to assign and print a skid tag as skids are loaded and wrapped at the folder. An wireless device immediately records the item number or form number, the skid number and its location. Subsequent moves are also recorded in real-time using local area network capable scanners; so, you will know the location and content of each skid at all times. Lost skids are dramatically reduced or even eliminated.

  • Makes physical inventory a breeze using the system and the Intermec® scanners.

  • RF transactions include inventory receipts, inventory transfers, interdivisional inventory transfers, return to stock and the taking of physical inventory.

Wireless support is provided by the industry standard Intermec scanning device. It is based on a Windows CE platform and works on a standard Wirless network.
